Summer

Summertime is my favorite time of the year. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, going to the beach and sitting around the campfire. Last summer was definitely my favorite one that I have ever had.

It started off with me and a few of my friends going to Florida. We all decided that we should take a girls trip after we graduated from high school. It was in May, so Florida was really hot. We spent most of our time at the beach and by the pool relaxing. We created many memories together during the trip and we all had a really great time.

The rest of the summer was taken up by graduation parties every weekend. It was really fun dressing up for the parties in dresses and hanging out with people from our high school and their friends and family. The amazing food was also a good plus of graduation parties.

I would spend my weekdays either babysitting or going to the pool with my friends. We spent our weeknights getting ice cream, watching sunsets on the beach, or hanging out with each other at someone’s house.

We all knew that the end of the summer was approaching, but none of us wanted to accept it. As each person left for college, we all were so sad and we wished that we could have one more year left in high school. It was a bittersweet ending of the summer as everyone was excited for a new beginning, but sad that we were leaving each other behind.
